Netherlands energy grid operator Alliander uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) and generative artificial intelligence (AI) to boost its digital strategy and apply innovation to the energy transition challenge. With access to services such as Amazon SageMaker AI and Amazon Rekognition, it can extract information from more than 17 million stored images in milliseconds. Michiel de Groot, product owner, FAAM, says generative AI services such as Amazon Bedrock could be key to accelerating the energy transition.
