AI coding agents are changing how developers and researchers work, shifting the workflow from writing code to assigning tasks. In this demo, we show a CLI-based AI coding agent completing a development task end-to-end on the ASUS Ascent GX10, entirely on local hardware.
We also demo and set up Visual Studio Code on the Ascent GX10 through ASUS’s Virtual Lab and connect to it remotely using the VS Code Remote SSH extension.
For research and academic environments where speed, security, and autonomy matter, this is what local AI-driven development looks like in practice.
