In this demo video, we will showcase how you can easily use Microsoft Active Directory users and groups to manage access to Amazon QuickSight. We will also cover how you can implement row-level and column-level security in Amazon QuickSight using these Active Directory groups and users.
What is Amazon QuickSight?
Amazon QuickSight is a cloud-scale business intelligence (BI) service that you can use to deliver easy-to-understand insights to the people who you work with, wherever they are. Amazon QuickSight connects to your data in the cloud and combines data from many different sources. As a fully managed cloud-based service, Amazon QuickSight provides enterprise-grade security, global availability, and built-in redundancy.
What is AWS Managed Microsoft AD?
AWS Directory Service lets you run Microsoft Active Directory (AD) as a managed service, powered by Windows Server 2019. With AWS Managed Microsoft AD, you can run directory-aware workloads in the AWS Cloud, including Microsoft SharePoint and custom .NET and SQL Server-based applications. You can also configure a trust relationship between AWS Managed Microsoft AD in the AWS Cloud and your existing on-premises Microsoft Active Directory.
What is AD Connector?
AD Connector is a directory gateway with which you can redirect directory requests to your on-premises Microsoft Active Directory without caching any information in the cloud.
