Morris was heading out to ride his bike when he saw a mother bear and two cubs walking across his yard and decided to film them. Unbeknownst to Morris, there was a third cub lagging behind the others, and while he was filming, it barreled past him and brushed up against his leg. Morris was startled, of course, and removed himself from the situation, and thankfully the cub went in the opposite direction. While this was a first, bears are common in his area, so Morris sees it as a lesson learned.
“I need to look around thoroughly to make sure that the bears I see are all of the bears there are,” Morris says. “You never know if there might be a straggler.”
