
Lynx, a cross-platform stack widely adopted by TikTok and ByteDance, has recently been open sourced. Lynx empowers developers to build native mobile UIs using familiar web technologies. However, today’s desktop app development stacks still do not meet our real-world production requirements for being lightweight, fast, and easily extensible, while still remaining accessible to web developers.
In this talk, Zhixuan shares how they’ve extended Lynx beyond mobile and into the desktop ecosystem, the architectural decisions that make it adaptable to nearly any platform and scenario, and their vision of a future multi-platform native ecosystem.
