Red Hat Insights helps to simplify the process of evaluating your systems for regulatory compliance policies such as CIS, PCI, DISA STIG, and HIPAA. This video shows off some of the newer featured in the Insights Compliance service – rule grouping and rule value editing.
Rule Grouping takes the rules that are part of a compliance policy and groups them logically so you can easily see which rules affect things like system settings and which rules affect things like services. Rules for passwords are all grouped together to make them easy to find.
Once you find the rules you can decide if you need to tailor them – since the beginning the compliance service allowed you to select or deselect a rule for inclusion as part of a policy, but we also now allow rule value editing – that is you can change the value of a rule. This means if a policy requires a maximum password age of 60 days, but you want to change that to 45 days you can now easily do that in the UI.
