This tutorial can also support understanding for all Oracle Analytics users. Creating a dataset by joining a local subject area and a file allows for the reuse of a dataset in multiple workbooks so that it does not need to be recreated every time it needs to be used. Through the Create Dataset dialog, it’s possible to select prebuilt subject areas to join with the local files, allowing for customization related to which columns become measures and attributes.
