Daniel Salvador has recently been appointed as the Vice President (VP) of Apache CloudStack, a role that emphasizes his dedication to bridging the dynamic community of developers and users with the Apache Software Foundation (ASF) board. In his new role, Daniel is charged with ensuring the ongoing health and growth of both the CloudStack project and its community, guiding its development while promoting a collaborative environment.
In a short video, Daniel shares his insights and responsibilities as VP, highlighting that his primary duty is to serve as a liaison between the CloudStack community and the ASF board.
Daniel’s journey with CloudStack began in December 2020 when he started working at SC Clouds. Initially focused on understanding CloudStack’s functionality and troubleshooting, he quickly transitioned to developing and enhancing features, reviewing patches, and engaging with the community. Over time, his role evolved to include designing features and mentoring some of his colleagues to also participate in the community.
