Data storage describes how different data is stored and managed in your organization. The type of data storage that you implement is based on the structure of your data and how your data is accessed.
Some data is highly organized, such as machine configurations and customer invoices. Other data is less structured, like fax images and engineering white papers. Some data is accessible only to specific users, such as system administrators or file owners, while other data may be accessed by all users, including internal employees and external partners.
