This demo uses a simple functional (stick) diagram to show how FortiPAM, FortiAuthenticator, and FortiIdentity Cloud work together to secure privileged access.
After the initial authentication, FortiAuthenticator enforces MFA by communicating with FortiIdentity Cloud, which sends a push notification to the user’s mobile device via the FortiToken app for approval. Once approved, FortiAuthenticator retrieves the user’s roles and authorization attributes and passes them to FortiPAM, which then grants secure access to the appropriate targets using credential injection. Throughout the session, FortiPAM monitors, records, and audits all privileged activity to ensure full visibility, compliance, and accountability.
