Timmerman is an independent industry analyst with a focus on storage, cloud architecture, data management, and data protection. He has 25 years of experience in the IT industry and has worked for organizations across various verticals, such as the ASML, APG, ITQ, and the Shared Service Center of the Dutch Government.
Mortillaro co-founded Osmium along with Timmerman, and previously worked on TECHunplugged together. His interests and skills cover data infrastructure: data storage, data management & data security management, and data protection research (including cyber resiliency) as an analyst for GigaOm. Based in Prague, he has an interest for online security, privacy, encryption and digital rights. Carrying over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, having worked for organizations across various verticals, such as the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, HSBC, Dimension Data, and Novartis.
