This demo shows how AI agents coming to Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP can help resolve a revenue variance in the days before quarter-end. It features a finance manager who receives an alert. Based on the alert, the finance manager invokes the AI ledger agent to help quickly identify root causes of the revenue shortfall. Note that the manager uses natural language to interact with the AI agent to develop an understanding of root causes. This is a significant change from traditional approaches that required IT and finance teams to generate and sift through reports. Next, the manager instructs a different agent, the document IO AI agent, to create a journal entry to update the financial position. The journal entry is posted only after the review and validation by the finance manager, ensuring that the ultimate decision making remains in employees’ hands. This shows how a combination of AI-based insights (the revenue shortfall) and connected actions (creating new journal entries) can lead to improvements in speed and efficiency.
