At Lenovo Innovation World 2026 in Berlin, Lenovo is pushing the boundaries of PC innovation once again with Project AeroBlade — a proof of concept that reimagines what an ultra-thin, high-performance PC can be. Less than 11 mm thin and under 1 kg, Project AeroBlade combines an exceptionally clean, premium design with the performance and experiences expected from a modern AI PC. But achieving this form factor required Lenovo to rethink one of the most fundamental elements inside a laptop: how it stays cool.
At the heart of the concept is Lenovo Active Flow, developed in collaboration with Frore Systems. It brings solid-state active cooling to a commercial laptop concept for the first time, replacing traditional rotating fans with an ultra-thin cooling architecture that uses rapidly vibrating membranes to generate airflow and move heat away from critical components. The result opens new possibilities for thinner, lighter and quieter PCs — with cleaner aesthetics, reduced dust intake, greater freedom to work across different surfaces, and up to 20W of sustained performance.
