Lenovo Tech World 2023: The Brain Meets AI - Training Data to Create Models and Transform Computing

Transforming the world with high-quality AI models and application requires the collection and training of huge reservoirs of data by increasingly powerful computers.

For example, spatial computing, brain-computer-interfacing, and AI will open up an entirely new frontier for neurotechnology within the next decade. This transformation will be powered by the computing solutions that support them.

Robert Herman, Vice President of Workstations at Lenovo, and Joseph Artuso, Chief Commercial Officer and Co-Founder of OpenBCI, will discuss the requirements and challenges of revolutionary businesses using AI models to create cutting-edge solutions. OpenBCI’s Galea, a hardware and software platform merging next-generation biometrics with mixed reality, will be explored as a case study of how new AI solutions are being created and what it could be mean for customers.

In the future, users could start having a lot more intuitive computing experiences. Based on data from technology like Galea and other sources, as well as new AI-enabled applications, computers will understand, predict and respond to individual’s needs based on biometric data and other inputs. For example, a broad rage of therapies could be developed for patients to assist communication and motor functions. Or, in industrial and enterprise scenarios, users that are tired or distracted, could have audio or video feedback automatically could slow down or pause to help them stay on track. Or game designers and players could optimize settings based on player’s physical and emotional reactions to enhance gameplay.
