Microsoft Azure and developer tools enhance developer agility and efficiency at Rockwell Automation

FactoryTalk Design Studio, the company’s first cloud-native application, was developed with Visual Studio Code, is deployed via GitHub, and harnesses the power of Microsoft Azure. Delivered via the cloud, it eliminates all the drawbacks of on-premises applications that have traditionally existed in the manufacturing space. FactoryTalk Design Studio also supports new ways of working, bringing robust collaboration features and modern software development paradigms to the factory floor. Moving forward, the combination of Visual Studio Code, GitHub, and Azure is making developers at Rockwell Automation more efficient and agile, enabling them to get more done and deliver more quickly via an integrated platform and a smaller tool-set.
