Mindbody Migrates SQL Server Databases to Improve Performance and Cut Costs | Amazon Web Services

Mindbody, a leading platform for wellness businesses, migrates more than 60,000 Microsoft SQL Server databases from a non-redundant on-premises environment to AWS. The move enhances performance, increases availability, and strengthens disaster recovery by leveraging multiple Availability Zones within AWS. With support from the AWS Optimization and Licensing Assessment (OLA), Mindbody identifies and eliminates over-licensing and over-provisioning, while building a strong foundation to modernize on cloud-native technologies and move away from Microsoft licensing for both the operating system and SQL Server. The migration also improves their Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) by 400%, helping them better protect customer data and ensure business continuity.
