Helmholtz – Germany’s largest research organization – relies on Nextcloud’s federated features to provide secure research infrastructures and data sharing to 18 research centers all across Germany.
Andreas Klotz, Head of Helmholtz Federated IT Services (HIFIS) Cloud Cluster at HZB, shares how their federated Nextcloud cluster facilitates the daily data flows for 48,000 employees and 14,500 researches from all over the world.
Andreas and team noticed there was already Nextcloud everywhere at Helmholtz, through multiple Nextcloud instances, and decided to bring them all together into one federated cluster.
