Digital sovereignty is no longer a vision. It’s happening. That was the defining message of the Nextcloud Summit 2026.
On June 9, more than 600 participants joined us in Munich for our biggest global flagship event yet. Across 33 sessions, customers, partners, policymakers, and open-source leaders came together to discuss one question: how do we turn digital sovereignty into reality?
Here’s a look back at some of the highlights:
• Opening keynote: ten years of building a better alternative
• Success stories that demonstrate sovereignty at scale: the French Ministry of Education; Amnesty International; Austrian Ministry of Economy, Energy & Tourism; Dutch universities and European hosting giants
• Introducing Nextcloud Hub 26 Spring
• Panel: from open source to open ecosystems
• Nextcloud Awards 2026
