As part of the €3B IPCEI-CIS, OpenNebula Systems has recently announced a collaboration with 14 providers across 7 EU Member States to build the first federated cloud-edge continuum in the continent. This strategic initiative is exploring the use of common APIs to foster an open and interoperable digital infrastructure, while defining an open source, sovereign stack for virtualization that allows organizations to minimize their dependencies on proprietary platforms and avoid vendor lock-in. This approach is especially critical to address the growing demand for Artificial Intelligence, which will soon exceed the capacity of individual providers and increasingly require proximity to users for low-latency AI inference.
The aim of the panel is to bring together leading cloud providers around Europe to discuss different approaches for enabling an open federation of sovereign cloud providers to support the deployment and management of AI workloads. Join us for a stimulating discussion on building multi-provider cloud infrastructures that are truly neutral, resilient, and adaptable in the face of constant change.
This online session will be moderated by Jordi Guijarro (Principal Technologist for Cloud-Edge Innovation at OpenNebula Systems) and will feature participants from leading Cloud Service Providers involved in the IPCEI-CIS.
