Oracle Volunteers are supporting cancer patients in India through employee-driven volunteering focused on compassionate care. In collaboration with the Indian Cancer Society in Bengaluru, volunteers create crochet bags filled with personal hygiene items, including soap, sanitizers, and handkerchiefs, for distribution to cancer patients. Volunteers also make care cards designed to bring patients smiles and confidence while offering employees an opportunity to contribute in a personal and meaningful way.
Oracle volunteering is a year-round program centered on four focus areas: education, health, community, and the environment. Oracle employees can volunteer for up to 40 hours during official work time and contribute additional volunteer hours on weekends. Through activities like these, employees work with nonprofit organizations to address community needs and make an impact together.
