This demo shows how Oracle Cloud Manufacturing helps production supervisors manage production batches for execution. You see how to create a new batch from an approved recipe, confirm quantities in the product details summary, and prepare the batch for shift production.
The walkthrough then shows how to split a batch into two consecutive execution runs when an operation has capacity constraints, such as an oven that can only handle 1,000 bars per run. With lot control enabled, the system generates a batch number based on the product lot number. Each execution run uses the same operations, materials, resources, and process parameters, and tracks them independently to support accurate execution.
Finally, you generate two lots that correspond to the execution runs. These execution run lots reference the parent lot that represents the batch, helping maintain traceability through production. You then release the batch for production execution, supporting accurate tracking of physical processes throughout each step.
