Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) manages a rapidly growing digital environment, operating more than 300 AWS accounts and over 1,500 websites. As cloud usage expanded, the company faced the challenge of protecting more than 50 million customer records—without slowing development or relying on a large internal IT or security team.
By collaborating closely with AWS Solution Architects and AWS Professional Services, Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) built a global-level security incident response environment designed to scale with the business. A centralized SIEM environment now serves as the foundation of daily security operations, helping teams detect, investigate, and respond to security events more effectively.
Together with AWS, the company also developed security guidelines based on AWS best practices and standard frameworks such as NIST, improving governance while increasing development speed and audit efficiency. In addition, AWS expertise supported the creation of AI-based business impact analysis and employee training environments.
