Roel Donker, Technology Lead at Royal Schiphol Group, explains how the organization uses Red Hat OpenShift to support a large-scale, 24/7 IT environment serving airport passenger and cargo operations.
Schiphol runs both commercial off-the-shelf and internally developed applications on OpenShift, using the platform to provide the scalability and reliability required for critical infrastructure. The organization is also shifting more workloads from self-managed environments to Red Hat managed services, reducing operational burden for developers and engineers. Donker also discusses the role of Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security in scanning external base images and continuously monitoring production workloads for vulnerabilities.
