Lost Glacier is working to fix agriculture by giving farmers the digital tools they need to leave the land better than when they started. The organization focuses on regenerative agriculture, helping farmers capture and verify the sustainable practices they use every day.
Using AWS, Lost Glacier built a platform that fits seamlessly into farmers’ lives. Farmers can snap a photo, leave a voice note, or log their activities from a smartphone. That data is geolocated, uploaded online or offline, and processed to verify carbon farming practices. The platform uses AI to predict changes in soil organic carbon over time, a key indicator of soil health and productivity.
Through the AWS Social Entrepreneur Accelerator, Lost Glacier gained access to cloud resources, tools, and expert guidance that transformed what was possible for their team. The program helped them understand and apply AWS technology to build a scalable solution now being tested across living labs in the EU.
